Terms & Conditions: Cycle the City Cycle Tours

Cycle the City want to ensure that you have a great time with us, whilst also upholding the company’s respectful ethos and reputation for leisurely, fun cycle tours. For the benefit of all concerned, and to make the most of your time with us.

Please take a moment to read our Terms & Conditions.

Cancellations must be made no less than a week in advance of the tour date. Parties who fail to attend a tour date will not be eligible for a refund.

Late arrivals

Arriving later than your pre-arranged, designated start-time may result in the duration of your tour being cut short or, in some circumstances, cancelled; this is due to commitments to later bookings.

Being unfit to cycle due to alcohol is against the law. Our tours which include alcohol are designed to work within the boundaries of these limitations. Arriving for a tour intoxicated is not acceptable and Cycle the City reserve the right to refuse participation if they believe that there is a risk to the safety of a guest(s) or others.

Our bikes

All bicycles provided by Cycle the City are serviced and in good working order, unless otherwise stated prior to the tour. Guests are responsible for the full cost of repairs for any damage done to bicycles during tours.

Cycle the City provide guests with classic-style bicycles, which are not designed to withstand aggressive or off-road use. As a result, Cycle the City expect them to be treated with care and consideration.

Drinks & refreshments

Drinks included with the Wine Tasting Tour are provided as the measures outlined in the tour description. This is so that the full tour can be completed in the allotted timescale and so that all wines in the tour can be tasted while maintaining your safety. The Guide will be happy to make recommendations for places to drink after the tour is completed.

Our cycle tours function under a set route, unless otherwise agreed prior to the tour date. If you would like to make a request for alterations to the route please allow a week’s notice.

Other info

In order to participate in tours, guests must be competent cyclists, respectful of the general, respectfully dressed and are expected to act responsibly throughout.

Cycle the City reserve the right to refuse entry to a tour if they believe that there is a risk to the safety of a guest(s) or others.

  •   Me and my boyfriend went on a Women of Bristol cycle tour, which was really good fun. Our guide Holly was charming and funny, and we went to some lovely bits of Bristol (the docks by the harbour, the banks of the Avon, Queen's Square).

We learnt about some unsung Bristol Heroines and their achievements- did you know Sarah Guppy was responsible for engineering some key elements of the Clifton suspension bridge?! We live in Bristol, but went to some places we'd never been before and really enjoyed it. Bikes are good quality too :o)

  •   Brilliant! Our tour guide Charlie was knowledgeable and lead us smoothly, safely and entertainingly around some fascinating parts of Bristol -food places I'd been told about but never actually found before. The sun shone and the food was delicious and filling.

  •   I organised a sightseeing cycle tour around Bristol for a group of 19 for my office team day. Luckily the weather was amazing, but the tour was informative, fun and everyone had a great time! Fairly flat apart from some cobbles, and everyone was able to keep up regardless of ability. Thanks!!
